OVERVIEW

The Dobot CR5A, part of Dobot's CRA series, is a collaborative robot with 5 kg payload, and 900 mm reach. 

Designed for industry/lab applications, the 6-axis CR5A is a 25 kg device with a small footprint of only 141 mm, saving valuable space in production lines and lab environment, while remaining safe to deploy alongside humans. It is built to deliver a high joint speed while delivering 0.02 mm precision, and comes with 5-level adjustable collision detection, 22 built-in safety functions, making it a safe cobot option for fast-speed and small environments.

DOBOT CR5A FEATURES

DOBOT CR5A VARIATIONS:

The Dobot CR5A has 4 different versions:

  • Dobot CR5A - The main version
  • Dobot CR5AP (CR5A-IP68): built for harsh environments with dust, humidity, water mist, or oil contamination, extending the CRA series beyond the standard IP54 rating for washdown or heavy-contamination settings.
  • Dobot CR5AF (Force-Controlled model): adds a high-precision integrated 6-axis force sensor at the flange, enabling compliant force control for tasks like grinding, polishing, and precision or medical assembly. It holds constant contact force for surface-tracking work and detects collisions as small as 1 N. Ideal where the CR5A's standard position control isn't enough.
  • Dobot CR5AS (SafeSkin model) - add Dobot's SafeSkin contactless collision-detection technology, sensing obstacles within a 15 cm radius so the robot can slow or stop before contact. This allows faster operation in close human proximity without sacrificing safety, and it works reliably even with gloves or fabric in the way.
