OVERVIEW

InDro Cortex is a compact, platform-agnostic ROS 2 robot computer that brings processing, connectivity, and power distribution into one unit. As a developer kit, Cortex allows you to mount it on any ROS 2-based robot, vehicle, drone, or research platform, and plug in your payloads easily, to save time and start building right away.

Cortex ships with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and ROS 2 preloaded, and delivers 100 TOPS of onboard AI compute through NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX, keeping your data and code secured locally and separate from the base platform.

HOW DOES INDRO CORTEX WORK?

Power & Connectivity in Cortex

Cortex mounts on your ROS 2-based robot and draws power from the host platform. It then distributes that power to your connected sensors and payloads, so you don't need separate power and communications hardware for each one. Its preloaded ROS 2 drivers, libraries, and communication protocols let new sensors integrate quickly. An onboard 5G modem and long-range antennae provide low-latency remote control over public or private 5G, or over Wi-Fi.

Control & Access in Cortex

There are three ways to connect to Cortex's onboard computer: SSH, an HDMI cable, or the InDro Controller UI. If paired with InDro Controller software (optional), it gives you access to all your payload data (numerically and visually) and allows you to control your robot from one integrated interface remotely. How InDro Cortex Protects Your Data and Code

InDro Cortex provides onboard processing to eliminate the need for data to be streamed to a third-party cloud, and your algorithms, models, and ROS 2 nodes run on your own hardware, which protects your intellectual property. Cortex can run over private 5G or your own Wi-Fi so mission traffic stays on infrastructure you control.
